Casula Powerhouse is an arts centre based in Liverpool NSW. Running exhibitions, theatre shows and many multi- disciplinary arts based initiatives and education programs, Casula Powerhouse required a new website to communicate upcoming and past events to the public. With such a large number of events and event data, it was important for the website to be easily updated through an integrated content management system.
Having a web design team in house, Casula Powerhouse supplied the interface design for the project. Lemonade worked closely with Casula’s web design team to understand the vision behind the graphics and produced the necessary information architecture for the project. A complexity in the project was to identify the information publishing requirements for each different type of event and determine a suitable classification for the content management system. Lemonade built the site in html with flash banner areas to allow for rotating content on the home page. A fun interactive feature of the site is the event image banner, which rotates up to 6 thumbnail images of the exhibition and switches between black and white and colour. The site is rich in event photography which helps to convey the experience of the Casula Powerhouse.
