Lemonade puts the squeeze on AGIdeas

Words by Enrico Bettesworth on May 19, 2008

Lemonade recently opened its studio doors as part of the 2008 AGIdeas Interact sessions. Students were given the opportunity to visit a leading design studio to pick the brains of their designers and directors.

AGIdeas is the largest annual International Design Event held in Australia. AGIdeas presented a series of events for designers who are seeking inspiration. It allows designers emerging in the industry to explore the possibilities of international careers in design, and for companies looking to embrace design as an economic driver.

Comprising of an international design forum, studio visits, workshops, competitions, secondary school evening, business breakfast, a gala dinner and a huge after party.

Nowhere will you find more ideas coming to life and more creativity on display than at AGIdeas International Design Week. It was an opportunity to be inspired, provoked, challenged and amazed by creativity in the broadest sense.

With the main focus on developing tomorrows future designers and industry leaders, students got the chance to be one of a group of 10 to 15 attending the International Design Forum to discuss all aspects of design with one of 20 leading studios.

We opened the doors for the evening and with our 16 participants, we ran an evening that provided them with a refreshing and insightful experience.

For two hours we presented ourselves, our work and got everyone involved in our process via a “dummy” brief and workshop.

The end result demonstrated that the future of design is definitely in great hands. We wish our participants all the best in their careers.

We look forward to being involved again in 2009... See you then!
