Instead of working, I took 2 weeks off to climb the tallest mountain in South East Asia - Mount Kinabalu - which stands at a whopping 4092.5 metres. We spent a lot of time in and around Kota Kinabalu, and were fortunate enough to visit the Sandakan War Memorial where the infamous Sandakan death marches began during World War II.
