Lemonade a winner at the 2007 AIMIA Awards

Words by Dion Wise on Mar 15, 2007

Already in Sydney attending a search engine marketing conference, it seemed like a great opportunity to enjoy the AIMIA (Australian Interactive Media Industry Association) Awards with 700 hundred other industry folk at the State Theatre, to see if we could bring "Amy" home to Melbourne. After grabbing a quick curry before the awards, we took our seats and marveled at the quality of work being showcased. Then it was our category, Best Cultural, Lifestyle or Sport website. We were dazzled to simply see our work up on the big screen with the other finalists: ABC's Life at 1, The National Museums Harvest of Endurance scroll, STRAIT UP by SBS Online and the adidas +10 Playoffs site. Next thing we knew, we were up on stage receiving a rather heavy Amy award and smiling for photos. After a short speech we were rushed off for more photos and an interview. Exciting stuff. The award is the culmination of working closely with the team at the Melbourne Festival for four great years to produce a site that really addresses the important criteria that our peak industry body deems the right mix for success. Well done to all involved in the web design and development of the Melbourne International Arts Festival 2006.
