Lemonade picks up coveted AGDA Design Effectiveness Award for BoysTown work

Words by Dion Wise on Oct 27, 2008

Our brand and web design work for BoysTown has picked up an AGDA (Australia Graphic Design Association) Effectiveness Award in recognition of the standout results it has achieved for the organisation.

I had immense pride as I stood on stage to accept the award at the Convention Centre in Adelaide. This is not just any design award. This is the ultimate for Lemonade and our clients. Not only recognised for design excellence, but for design excellence that achieves what it sets out to. That is, to make a tangible difference to a brand - the people that work there, the causes they support and the bottom line that allows it to happen. I would just like to thank everyone at BoysTown for their passion and dedication and being amazing partners on a challenging journey. Thanks also to the Lab and the insights they provided that lay the foundations for our work.

To add some icing to the evenings cake, Enrico Bettesworth did it again and received recognition as a finalist for his Strength in Numbers poster entry “30 strong”, while the Rogerseller Brand Refresh was a finalist in the Illustration category.

So in short, the trip to Adelaide was more than worthwhile. Shaun Micallef entertained with his sharp wit, cheap jibes where had at the town (sorry city) of Adelaide, a few refreshing Coopers, mingling with Australia's best creative talent and a few take home gifts. What more could we ask for.

Until 2010 for the next AGDA’s.
