2005 Annual Report

The core objectives for the 2005 annual report were to support the new brand – it’s vision and it’s values and to build a strong positioning. It needed to reflect the vision of a sophisticated, innovative and cutting-edge research institute. All while also promoting their 80th anniversary.
With this in mind, the report also needed to appeal to a wide audience including: The world-wide scientific / medical community, Commercial Partners, Students and Donors
Working from a clean slate, we started out by setting a new style utilising supporting graphics, colours and font styles to set the mood for a report which is clearly differentiated from its competition. The report was structured to showcase the research undertaken by each division/lab within Baker into separate sections. This has allowed for a greater focus on individual research, its people and key discoveries made within each lab.
Each spread features large pull-out quotes, consistent header sections and clean layouts. The supporting visual language we developed to support the Baker logo was applied to add a dynamic element and flow throughout the document. The result is a report which delivers Baker's vision and new branding clearly and effectively.
