Greg Tepper Awards Design
Film Victoria hosts an annual award ceremony to announce the winner of the Greg Tepper Award which is a very prestigious honour bestowed on young, up and coming filmmakers. With the winner gaining the invaluable interest of the industry in addition to a cash prize of $5000, a solution was needed that reflected this prestigious award.
The invitation was sent to influential industry members and all parties nominated for the awards. A treatment was developed that reflected the excitement, glamour and prestige of the evening while also representing the funky, youthful and creative style of the nominees.
The main element of the collateral was designed in the shape of rising smoke, reproduced in a configuration of black foiled dots on a black card. The smoke was chosen to depict the "hot" rising talent of the industry while also alluding to flowing cigar smoke which hinted at the prestige of the evening. All other information relating to the evening was also black foiled onto the all black card.
Very prestigious and very well received.
